ClassicFilms

Guess I'll start this blog off with a discussion about The Thin Man series...one of my favorites. William Powell and Myrna Loy were pitch perfect as wealthy socialite couple Nick and Nora Charles. The witty banter between Nick, man-about-town amateur sleuth, and his spunky wife/sidekick Nora makes even the dryest detective story fun. My favorite has got to be the first movie in the series, The Thin Man (and the only one who's title actually makes sense since the victim is the "thin man" played by Edward Ellis), based on the Dashielle Hammett novel. I'll put up a real review soon. Suggestions for your favorite movies of the 1920s through 1960s? Share your top 10 here!
